Hi! I’m Smirna—a Los Cabos based and destination photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller with a love for both the quiet intimacy of human connection and the untamed beauty of the outdoors. I believe a photograph is more than an image; it’s a time capsule for feeling—the laughter, the warmth, the way the light touched the moment. My journey has taken me from heartfelt wedding vows and cozy family afternoons to mountaintop sunrises and ocean horizons. Whether it’s weddings, couple engagements, families, portraits, or outdoor adventures, I’m drawn to the moments that feel alive long after they’ve passed.

I graduated University with a Film production major and proceeded to get my hands dirty in the film world. I specialized in production with many movie projects that have been all over the world (from mexico to the world!). I fell in love with the making of cinema and the storytelling process that brings so much fullfillness when the story makes it to the crowd. Film nurtured my photography and gave me a clear path of what I wanted to pursue in the art world, especially photography.

 

As a film producer and photographer, my utmost goal is to tell stories with my art about nature, wildlife and adventure. Stories that can inspire us to take care of the wonderful world we live in and to keep learning about it's all encompasing and amazing way of recovery. I've been making my way through this adventurous life, learning different outdoor disciplines to be used as tools and photographing every adventure I get my hands on. I'm a mountaineer that has climbed all of the tallest volcanoes that are permitted in Mexico several times, above 5,000 meters of altitude. Including Pico de Orizaba and Iztaccihuatl and I'm constantly looking for new and higher mountains to climb, soon to go on expeditions to South America and USA. I've also been very in love of the ocean and scuba dive world. I have my PADI certified Open Water diver and working and the following certifications to be able to photograph underwater. There are so many adventures I feel are calling me that I have just begun and I hope to follow you along on one of yours!

I approach each story with curiosity, empathy, and an open heart—whether we’re chasing golden light through winding trails, walking barefoot along the shore, or sharing a quiet moment in your living room. My goal is simple: to create images that not only show where you were, but let you relive how it felt—honest, timeless, and a little bit magical.
